Vilasig is located near the river Ljusnan and about 5 km. from the E4, the main road at the east coast.

The home provides a good base for discovering the province Hälsingland. The province is highly diverse, has got a beautiful coast line, but also the inlands have got many possibilities. The picturesque hillside is varied with deciduous and coniferous forests, lakes and various picturesque farms and big estates from the rich farmers. The surroundings are extremely well for fishing, boating, cycling, walking and canoeing. You can golf on the particularly popular track in Söderhamn and walk for hours in one of the nearby nature reserves. For a nice trip you can go to the zoo at Järvsö, but also Hudiksvall and Gävle have a lot to explore, i.a. nice shops and restaurants.

In winter there are opportunities for ice fishing, skating, sledding and (cross country) skiing in the beautiful surroundings.
